Make a counter-offer with confidence

You received an offer on your home! It’s time to celebrate — almost. You’ll happily accept the offer if just one or two things are changed.

This is where the delicate art of negotiation begins, by “signing back” or making a counter-offer, because:

● You want more money. It’s natural to want the most for your home.

● You want to change the closing date. Perhaps your buyer has already sold their home and needs a place to live ASAP. You can compromise on a closing date, or see if the buyer will compensate you for having to live in short-term accommodation if you have to wait to move into your own new home.

● Conditions on the offer. The buyer may want a home inspection completed before signing on the dotted line, or wants to secure a mortgage first.

This can be an emotional time. You can help yourself by asking, “Am I willing to jeopardize a sale over this? How important is this particular detail to me?”

Or you can work with broker Kian Mousavi. Backed by more than a decade of experience, he leverages his skills to strategize and negotiate in your best interest, to achieve an outcome that leaves you — and the buyer — satisfied.
